Here at Laserfab, we work with many different part “formats” - from an electronic file to a hand-drawn scribble on a scrap of paper. We understand that companies do not always utilize the same software and, in many cases, have no software at all, so we are happy to help our customers who occasionally bring in the “cardboard template”.
Currently, we are utilizing AutoCAD 2007. File formats used with AutoCAD are DXF and DWG.
Drawings can also be sent in other formats - including PDF, JPG, and other picture files as long as all required dimensions are clearly stated on the drawing so that the part can be recreated from scratch. Hard-copy drawings can be delivered or faxed to our site. If no drawing can be provided, we also work with our customers who can supply an actual part. Our process can utilize the need to reverse-engineer and/or draw the part from scratch.
Please e-mail your drawing files and RFQ (request for quote) to mikeb@laserfabusa.com
